Hair Density Chart

Density is defined as how thick or thin the hair on your wig or hair unit will be. The standard and most popular choice is 120% which is Medium Thick Density. The average human head is considered to be between 100%-120%.
Marquesa Hair  Stock wigs have 80% (light) density around the perimeter and 110% (medium) elsewhere unless otherwise specified.

Naturally growing hair grows differently for every person. Hair can grow thin (light) around the perimeter (hairline) and thick (medium) in the middle. Hair can also grow thick (medium) around the perimeter (hairline) and thickest (heavy) in the middle. Below is a Hair density Chart that you can use as a visual guide.

 Extra Light Density:

 50%

This density us for people who do not want volume or thickness. The scalp can easily be seen. Persons who prefer very light and thin hair typically this density.

 Light Density:

 80%

This density us for people who do not want much volume or thickness. The scalp can easily be seen. Persons who prefer light and thin hair typically this density.

 Light to Medium Density:

 100%

This is the density of a light average head of hair. The wig is constructed with a lighter density at the hairline and a medium density throughout the rest of the unit

 Medium Density:

 120%

The density of an average head of hair with slightly fuller hair. Many stock wigs are available with this density

Medium to Heavy Density:

130%

This density is heavy and for persons who like a very full style.

Heavy Density

150%

This density is extremely heavy and typically used for theatrical wigs

  Important Tips:

– The average human head is 100% to 120% density
